Spring sports are coming and baseball is included in that. While tryouts don’t start until March 16, the preseason workouts started around a month ago. These practices are every Tuesday and Friday morning starting at 6:00 AM. The first game isn’t for another month (the second Monday of Spring Break).

Devin Gingerich, a senior who’s in his fourth year on the East Noble baseball team and also the co-editor-in-chief for the Knightly Scroll, had much to say about the impending season. He said, “I am very excited to go into my fourth season with East Noble Baseball and I am ready to step up as a senior and lead the rest of the team.”

According to Gingerich, the talent on the team will hopefully lead them through conference and on to sectionals this year. In addition to this, if the team can work together easily early on, they will be able to get above some of the other teams, giving them “…[A] lot of momentum right out of the gates.”

This year’s spring sports are almost here, and even if you aren’t a part of them, it is still going to be an exciting time, especially if Gingerich’s predictions and confidence about this year’s baseball season carry any true weight.
