Show Choir Auditions

Show+Choir+Auditions

Do you love to sing? Do you love to dance? Do you want to be part of a group that has a long history of excellence, that includes being a 19-time ISSMA State Finalist? If you answered yes to any of the above, then you might want to consider auditioning for East Noble Show Choirs.

If this sounds like the scariest thing in the world, I completely understand. If someone told me a couple of years ago that I would end up singing and dancing in front of huge audiences and enjoy it, I would have laughed. For the longest time I have had terrible performance anxiety, which I still struggle with, but show choir has made a world of difference in my confidence, both as a performer and as an individual.

You may be thinking, this sounds great, how can I audition? First, come to auditions in the choir room on March 18th and 19th. On both days, show up in clothes that you can dance in. On March 18th, Mr. Mettert, our show choir director, will teach the choreography to everyone auditioning. If dancing is not your strong suit, don’t worry! Mr. Mettert will answer any questions and go over the choreography until everyone understands it. On March 19th you will go into the show choir room in groups of 4-6 people to sing and dance. Everyone in your group will do the choreography at the same time, then each person will sing 30-60 seconds from a song of your choice.

East Noble has three different show choirs. Premiere Edition is our all-girls show choir, so I would not recommend that guys audition for this group. Knight Rhythms is our small mixed show choir, so it consists of both women and men. A New Vision is our large mixed show choir, that everyone in East Noble show choir is apart of.
