ENHS gets flexible schedule for being A: No School November 8

November 8th East Noble High School has the day off.

East Noble has been a grade “A” school by the Indiana Department of Education’s accountability grades and that let us have a flexible schedule.

East Noble High School we have been an A school for two years straight, since we have been an A school, we can have a bit more flexibility in how the school shapes out schedule this year like November 8th off.

“It means that East Noble High School will be allowed the flexibility during the 2019-2020 school year to provide curriculum, instruction, and programs in new and different ways than what is required from high schools,” Principal Kathy Longenbaugh said.

“Normally, a high school’s instructional day consist of at least six hours of instructional time and 180 student instructional days,” Longenbaugh said.

“East Noble High School will now be eligible to exercise some flexibility around the instructional day requirements, as long as the total number of instructional minutes provided during the school year meets the required time frame of 1,080 hours,” she said.

November 8, only high school students have off and the teachers will be doing professional development all morning with 45-minute sessions, a relocation drill, and grading and getting ready for 2nd trimester. Students also have May 27 is a half day and May 28 is a full day off.

Our high school has to remain a qualified high school unless we get a C or lower for one school year, or we receive a B or lower for two consecutive school years.
