Boys Soccer Team Takes on Columbia City on Senior Night

This Monday, Sept. 18, the Knights took on Columbia City soccer. The junior varsity team won with a score of 3-0 after an intense game.

It was Senior Night for the boys soccer team. Before the intense varsity game versus the Columbia City Eagles, seniors walked down the field to greet their parents with a flower, a smile, and a “thank you” for all of their support throughout the years. Seniors included: Abubaker Yahya, Brian Diaz, Cory Thatcher, Rey Castro, Jose Perez, Drew Meyer, Joshua Jacobs, Raul Rojas, Abdulrahman Alhussain, Benjamin Gerhards, and Alain Pfammatter.

After the heartwarming ceremony was completed, the game began.

With grit and determination, the Knights were able to defeat the Eagles once again with a score of 4-0. Seniors Cory Thatcher scored one goal, Jose Perez made two goals, and Amin Abdullah made one goal. Assists were made by Christian Sanchez, Cory Thatcher, Abubaker Yahya and Michael Bender.

The Knights will play the Bellmont this Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 5:30 p.m.
