The boys soccer team huddles after a long day of practices.

The East Noble Boys Soccer team started the year off right with a score of 2-2.

First defeating Garrett High School and Lakewood Park Christian School, the Knights then traveled on to play Northside this past Monday.

Returning seniors Abubaker Yahya, Cory Thatcher, Adam Ledesma, Rey Castro, Jose Perez, Drew Meyer, Josh Jacobs, Raul Rojas, Abdulrahman Alhussain, and Benjamin Gerhards take on the familiar field with strength this year.

Under guidance of coach Robert Berkley, the boys soccer team is destined for greatness once again.

“Our JV team is one of the hardest working groups in the area,” Berkley said. “[They] have the potential and passion for the game to do great things.”

Berkley also points out that the team has incredible and positive “momentum” which will ultimately help them in the long run.

“With an approach of getting better and better each time out, the boys are coming daily with a sustained focus and drive to compete. “

In the coming week the Knights will take on Huntington North this Thursday and host Blackhawk Christian on Saturday. The northeast Indiana sectionals will be held here at home, and preparations have already begun.

Let us wish the Knights a great rest of the season, for their distinguished skills are most deserving of fame.
