Boys Soccer Faces Bellmont

The East Noble boys junior varsity soccer team suffered a major defeat at the hands of the Belmont Braves Wednesday night.

Though both teams remained scoreless in the first half, the Braves managed to score two points within the first ten minutes of the second half and were able to keep the Knights from scoring anything until the clock ran out.

“We underestimated them,” said junior Brian Diaz after the game.

However, the varsity team did not let this loss discourage them, as they thundered into their game and left with a 3-1 victory.

Down by one point at halftime, the Knights managed to pull themselves together in the second half. There were many great plays throughout the half, and the Knights were able to win the half of the game by making some impressive goals and some solid saves.

“I feel like we came together in the end,” said junior Cory Thatcher. “We were on fire.”

The Knights next clash with New Haven on Monday.
