EN Boys’ Soccer Wins on Senior Night

EN Boys Soccer Wins on Senior Night

If there is ever a soccer game to be won, it is the game on senior night. Not only is it a night to honor those senior athletes who have put in time and effort over the last four years for the soccer team, but it is the last time the seniors will ever play on East Noble Turf as a Knight. This knowledge alone made the senior night game a little more intense, a little more important, and a perfect opportunity to make Columbia City remember our name.

Before the game began, the players were announced (per tradition) and walked down the side of the field with their parents while their future plans and accomplishments were listed by the announcer. The seniors announced were Kassem Abdullah, Nathan D Housholder, Ali H Alamri, Michael A Sanchez, Ivan S Marin, Favian A Cervantes, Aaron Bahena, and Fabian Lopez.

When the competition began, all laughs and bittersweet feelings were wisked away as the Knights played with nothing but determination. The passes had purpose, and the players were in place during each of the 40 minute halves.

By the end of the night, the Knights had conquered Columbia City 3-1.

We wish the best of luck to seniors as they head to bigger and better things, and to the team as they finish out their season of great accomplishment.
