Knights Charge through the Chargers on a Special Night
On Monday, May 4, the East Noble Knights Varsity Baseball team traveled to the beautiful Parkview Field in Fort Wayne, Indiana to play as visitors to the West Noble Chargers. The team has been scheduled to play at Parkview Field the past three years as a promotion for the Fort Wayne TinCaps and as a special opportunity for high school teams.
The game was an exciting one, containing some spectacular plays, notably by Bryce Wolfe in right field and some fancy footwork by shortstop Trey Bruce. The Knights went off offensively on the Chargers eventually winning in the fifth inning by the ten-run-rule, and mercifully so seeing that the rain was beginning to pour down on the players. The final score was East Noble 13 (team slash line: 13/15/2) to West Noble 3 (team slash line: 3/4/1). See the box score below.

Overall, a fairly clean game on both sides. However, the few mistakes did lead to runs being scored on both sides. Prior to the game Coach Cory Jacquay talked to the team and they took batting practice in the batting cages at Parkview Field. Additionally, the team had a meeting following the final out. The mood of the entire day was very motivated and upbeat. Heads were never down and all the team members lined the edge of the dugout cheering on their teammates. For those who went to support the team, it was a good day to enjoy a baseball game.
