Raise-A-Ruckus 2014

Said to be the best yet, this year’s 26th Raise-a-Ruckus was a hit at the Apple Festival featuring classics like “Grandma’s Feather Bed” and “Mortgage on the Cow”. In contrast to last year, only three seniors took part in this year’s production, Alexis Goldey, Rachel Skurner, and Jaycob Sparkman, all performing for their first time ever. Also performing were juniors Sophia Shultz, Taryn Campbell, Kirsten Wolf, McKinley Bolen, Jake Erne, Lydia Tremaine, Alyssa Gulick, Daniel Kane, Brian Tew, and Lucas Graden. Sophomores in the show included Nate Deetz, Kenny Woody, Payton Pfeiffer, Hanah Clifton, Robert Shull, and Jakob Speelman. First time freshmen were Marissa Slone, Jon Clifton, Alec Dimke, Savannah Myers, and Austin Gulick. The most talked about number of this year was the eerie “Lizzie Borden”, featuring Jakob Speelman as a soloist who pulled it off grandly. 2014 Miss Indiana, Audra Casterline, made an appearance in the show, singing “Good Girl” by Carrie Underwood and looking spectacular doing it. Great job to Mr. Munk’s Stagecraft class for putting the sets together, Mr. Mettert for musical direction, all the kids who performed so very well, the parents and sponsors who helped make it possible, and of course, Mr. Munk himself who directed the show.
