Light the Night

Light+the+Night

This past Tuesday (September 23), the annual Light the Night Walk in support of the Northeast Indiana Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was held once again at East Noble High School. The event started at 5:00 with food being served and games, such as face painting and balloon animals, for the younger participants. A Mini-Walk had been done from 6:15 to 6:30 for the younger kids and those who couldn’t participate in the full walk.

Just before the start of the walk, the crowd was reminded of their mission, and the names of those who were honored and remembered were read off. Finally the National Anthem was sung. The crowd, with lanterns of red, gold, and white in hand, were led by East Noble’s own Marching Knights. With participants of all ages, the walkers started at the front of the high school, down Lisle Street, up Main, across Diamond Street, down Sherman, and returned to the front of the High School. Dilly Bars from Dairy Queen were given out to the participants after their completion of the walk. The event managed to raise over $45,000 for the Society.
