Color Run

Color+Run

It was the second day of Homecoming Weel, and that meant the Color Run. The event, which involved paint being thrown on student runners, took place after school Tuesday. The Color Run is based on the Color Run 5Ks, which are usually done with powder paint rather than wet paint. The Color Run was organized by the Student Council, who threw paint on the runners as they passed their stations along the 1.4 mile- long course, gave out lemonade to the runners, and ran the registration.

With faces marked with blue and gold paint, the race began at 3:30, with boys leaving one minute ahead of the girls. The runners did two laps around the high school, starting from the bus doors as they got blue and gold paint thrown on them. The first to finish were a small group of boys in under eight minutes. Most of the runners finished in under eleven minutes. With everyone done, the runners gathered for a quick picture. Some runners were completely dry, while others dripped with paint. All the runners seemed to be in a good mood after a bit of a different kind of run.
