A Weekend at RYLA

A Weekend at RYLA

I had the wonderful opportunity to attend an event called RYLA. RYLA, or Rotary Youth Leadership Award, is a leadership camp for high school sophomores and juniors who are involved with the Rotary. The Rotary is a nonprofit organization that promotes service above self and has projects all over the world dedicated to aiding those in need.

I am involved with East Noble’s Interact Club, along with my sister, and we were given this amazing opportunity to attend. The weekend consisted of interesting leadership sessions, team-building exercises, great food, and lifelong memories. The three-day long camp was attended by 105 people from the top third of the state. I’m so grateful that the Rotary paid the cost for this weekend so that I, and all the other attendees, could attend for free.
