PFW’s Department of Theatre recently performed the show “Once Upon A Mattress”. This musical retells the story of “The Princess and The Pea” with a twist. The musical stars the boisterous and belty lead, Princess Winnifred, played by Alayna Thornton. Her comedic timing and booming vocals stole the show. The vocals of the ensemble blended very smoothly, and the choreography was sharp. The costumes had some interesting anachronistic touches, such as the converse shoes worn by Princess Winnifred, and the propellor hat crown worn by the Prince. The show is jam-packed full of entertaining musical numbers and witty jokes, all of which will leave you entertained! Thank you PFW for this spectacular performance!
