EN Staff Stars: Mr. Cody Wait
This week, the Knightly Scroll is humbled to honor Mr. Wait as our EN Staff Star.
How many years have you been teaching at East Noble?
- 2, but have coached sports here much longer than that.
What subjects do you teach?
- Health, PE and Strength & Conditioning
What is your favorite class to teach?
- All of them! I love bouncing around to different classes all day. Keeps it fresh and interesting!
What’s your favorite part of teaching?
- It never gets dull. The content that is taught is the same, but the kids aren’t. Every new class brings new personalities!
Do you have a favorite EN Memory? If so, what is it?
- Winning the Girl’s Track and Field Sectional in 2014, 2016 and 2018 with great kids and the legendary Andy Bell!
- My 5th period health class of last year during 3rd tri. Best class I ever had. They constantly brought great conversations into each lesson and made me look forward to that class every single day. So fun!
- I have a permanent scar on my leg from playing goalie at soccer practice and I’m still mad Kimberly Li scored that goal on me! Well this isn’t a great memory, but it’s funny, nonetheless.
- Beating Mrs. Longenbaugh in a game of PIG (she beat me 2 times before that though)
Do you have any interests/hobbies outside of school?
- I play an unhealthy amount of video games. I enjoy fishing, golfing, working out and being out in nature.
Do you have a fun fact about yourself?
- I was almost on an MTV show when I was 14.
Is there anything else you’d like to add?
- I just love where I work. I’ve met some incredible people here, both staff and students, that have made this place a great place to come to every single day.
Congratulations to Mr. Wait, It’s clear that you have made a huge impact on the lives of us EN Students. We love you Mr. Wait!!!
