Have you ever been to a marching band competition? Or listened to the pep band play at halftime during a game? Or even gone to a band concert? If you have experienced any of these, you’ve probably seen Joanna Foster (she’s the really tall, pretty girl with big blue eyes). Joanna is a senior this year and participates hugely in these three bands, especially marching band, considering she’s a drum major.

Joanna is said to be academically “hardworking and inventive – she goes above and beyond the standards to get her tasks done”. Being in NHS, she’s obviously a smart one. A friend of hers from a past math class says, “I don’t know where I would be without her… She was my lifeline in math. She understood everything so well, and was even better at teaching it all again to me.” Joanna also participates in Key Club.

“She’s a true blue, genuine friend, trustworthy and dependable,” says a band member, “you can totally count on her for anything and everything.” Joanna is friendly to everyone – she’s been seen helping other people in class, lending a hand to those in need, and living up to her word. “She goes out of her way to improve your mood or situation.”

Joanna says, “It’s so easy to be nice to someone else, like it takes no effort at all. When you choose to be nice, you get to see all the good it does for other people, and your kindness is sort of just contagious.” Can’t you feel the niceness radiating from her? She spreads it like wildfire.
