Ladies’ Night Out

Ladies+Night+Out

Ladies’ Night Out was an outstanding organization for the Show Choir members this year! For those who don’t know exactly what Ladies’ Night Out is, it’s a night where we all get together, eat dinner and dessert, enjoy a fashion show held by the seniors, and the Show Choir performs their New Vision show. Since this was held on Veteran’s Day, we had some special guests, our fellow veterans. They walked the seniors down the runway during the fashion show.

For dinner our lovely waiters served us a hot dog, baked beans, potato salad, and watermelon. If you couldn’t tell, they were trying to go for a festive feel. Afterwards we had a choice of delicious apple or cherry pie. Afterwards, we also had heard an amazing and emotional speech by one of the lady Veterans, Sargent Eve Peters. She talked about her life before and after going into war. She also talked about how hard it was leaving her husband and her baby girl. Her sons are now carrying on the trait of being a Veteran and she is very proud of them.

After the fashion show New Vision performed their show. For those who don’t know what show we are doing songs from the musical and movie, “RENT”. We performed ‘Rent’, ‘One Song Glory’, ‘Without you’, ‘La Vie Boheme’, ‘Will I’, and finished it off with a mash up of “Without you’ and ‘Will I’.
