Gobble Gobble!

Well, it’s this time of year again, crisp November air, fall leaves, and the sweet smell of pumpkin pie filling up the house. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and all parts of your family come together for a time like this to remember and be thankful for the blessings we have today. Along with reflecting the historical event that brought our country together, and appreciating all we have, there is something that is on all of our minds: Thanksgiving dinner.

Each year 5.1 million turkeys are consumed on Thanksgiving Day in America, and the total amount spent for Thanksgiving dinner food each year is approximately $2,375,000,000. In order to keep up to such high demands there has to be 656,340 tons of green beans, 2.4 billion pounds of sweet potatoes, and 7.5 million barrels of cranberries produced. Now, remember to be safe if you’re one of the 3.9 million people traveling this Thanksgiving. Have a happy Thanksgiving!
