Everest: A Movie Review

Climbers struggle to survive a massive storm in the new movie Everest.

During the spring of 1996, climbing experts Rob Hall (Jason Clarke) and Scott Fischer (Jake Gyllenhaal) lead their separate expeditions up Mt. Everest in a bid to reach the summit. But due to delays and laziness, both teams are caught near the summit on the night of May 10 when a massive storm hits the mountain, trapping both teams at the top, leading to a fight for survival that will claim the lives of many people.

I thought that this was a good movie. It showed an accurate representation of what happened during the actual 1996 disaster. I thought the characters were portrayed pretty well also. However, I noticed that the characters seemed to be attacking Jon Krakauer (Michael Kelly) throughout the movie, which, in my opinion, was not great.

Overall, I give this movie a solid B+ rating.
