Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance Review

Humanity makes its last stand against a terrifying alien race in this expansion pack of Supreme Commander.
The firing of Black Sun in Supreme Commander has opened up a Quantum Rift in space, allowing the Seriphim, the race of aliens that the Aeon learned The Way from, into our galaxy. They quickly start attacking the humans. After a few months, all 3 factions are scattered and decimated. UEF President Riley is dead. Earth is pretty much reduced to a barren wasteland. QAI, the Cybran super computer, goes to the Seriphim side, creating chaos among the Cybran Nation, forcing Dr. Brackman and Doystia to retreat deep into space. Princess Rhianne Burke has disappeared, and the Aeon are splitting apart. Many see the Seriphim as gods, and join them, creating the Order of the Illuminate. A handful of Aeon commanders, led by Crusader Rhiza, escape, and start to wage a guerrilla war against the Order and the Seriphim.
Soon, the remaining UEF and Cybrans come together, and form the Coalition. Despite Dr. Brackman’s warnings, the Loyalists led by Rhiza are allowed to join them later. After the death of General Clarke, the Coalition construct Fort Clake on Griffen IV. But the Seriphim have found them, and launch an attack. The fate of mankind rests in the survival of Fort Clarke…
During this new single-player campaign, you lead humanity into battle against the Order, the Seriphim, and QAI. As you enter the first mission, where you must defend Fort Clarke, players will have to choose a faction they will play as: UEF, Cybran, or Aeon Loyalists led by Rhiza. Several secondary objectives in the mission may appear, depending on what faction you are.
This game was definitely better than Supreme Commander. It includes over 100 new units and structures to build and battle with, as well as using the Seriphim in Online play and in Skirmish mode. They improved on many things from the last game, such as now we can replay missions as many times as we want. Also, the Skirmish mode has been upgraded, with several new maps to play on, and new forms of AI players to battle against.
One thing that I have found that is not that good is there is some lag time during missions when your mission objectives are updated and the operation area is expanded. But that could be just my computer. Even so, I give this game an A+ Rating.
The fate of humanity rests in your hands. Join the fight for survival in Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance.
