I stare at the blank page unable to capture my feelings.
Unable to believe I’ll ever be good with my writing.
Everybody puts young writers down. Saying it’ll never be good enough.
It lowers our self-esteem.
Instead can’t they see we’re trying the best we can
Can’t they raise us up for our writing
Tell us there are flaws but it’s still good
People focus on the negative rather than the positive.
Maybe we should focus on both. Not just negative and not just positive.
