B List Boys Concert Review

This is a little bit of what people call “old news,” but it needs reported nevertheless. I hope you remember the article about the concert at St. John Lutheran Church. It happened a little while ago, October 17 to be exact. This article is a quick review of that concert, which featured a Christian rap group called the B List Boys.

Overall, it was a really fun concert, regardless of whether the people who went liked rap music or not. It wasn’t so loud that you felt like your ears were going to bleed, but it wasn’t so quiet that Old Granny Patricia couldn’t hear it. The three rappers there were very interactive. They got off of the stage and into the small crowd of people. They talked to individuals. They told us stories about themselves. Generally, they were very nice people. I had an interview with one of them, but sadly (and this is not a joke) my dog got ahold of the paper and shredded it. I wish I could report more than what’s written here, but I don’t have any more to say about the concert.

On the other hand, I do still have a couple of things to say about the concert’s beatboxing competition (pictured above). That was extremely entertaining. One of the musicians on stage stepped down and pulled a few people out of the crowd and brought them onstage. There were three people. One was a young girl (she couldn’t have been older than 4), another was an 8th grade boy, who is a friend of my younger brother, and the last was another girl, who was older than the first. She was probably in about 4th grade. Anyway, they all got up on stage and did their best. The audience members had to vote for the person they thought did the best. In the end, it was really close. The general consensus was that the youngest girl won (because she was so funny), but everyone got a prize since they were confident enough to go up in front of everyone at the concert and beatbox.

I know that this wasn’t a very long review, but I lost the biggest part of it. If you didn’t go to the concert, though, I really hope this article changed your thoughts on such a concert. After all, this Christian rap concert proved to be a lot of fun!
