Senior Shannon Davies captures the ball from a Blackhawk Christian player and takes it down the field.

Tuesday night’s Varsity Girls’ Soccer match against the Blackhawk Christian Braves nearly ended in another home game defeat.
Down 1-0 at half time, and with the Braves scoring another goal within minutes of the second half, all hope seemed to be lost for the Lady Knights.
Everything changed, however, when senior Emily Dashiell scored the Knight’s first goal of the game with 16 minutes left. Thanks to this one goal, the team managed to rally and went on the offensive. Within another 5 minutes, Dashiell scored another goal, tying the game up at 2-2, where, despite several amazing plays from both sides, the score remained, ending the game with a tie.
“I think we started to come together as a team in the second half,” Dashiell said after the game.
The Lady Knights take the field once again on Thursday against Huntington North.
