Yesterday, East Noble hosted Sectionals at Noble Hawk Golf Links. Even though the weather at first was not the best (windy and pouring rain), the players remained strong, and eventually the weather started to clear up and the sun came out of the clouds. For our girls, the match didn’t yield the expected outcome, but they did their best and ended the season proudly. East Noble placed fifth out of 11 teams.

In first was Carroll with a score of 338, in second was Concord with a score of 357, in third was Northridge with a score of 376, in fourth was Columbia City with a score of 378, in fifth was East Noble with a score of 410, in sixth was West Noble with a score of 418, in seventh was Fairfield with a score of 430, in eighth was Jimtown with a score of 472, in ninth was Goshen with a score of 489, in tenth was Westview with no score since they did not have a full team, and in eleventh was Prairie Heights with no score since they also did not have a full team. Congratulations, Carroll, on your win.

Individual Scores for East Noble were:

Sara Kilburn with a score of 94
Shelby Targgart with a score of 98
Jenna Hernandez with a score of 100
Taylor Cripe with a score of 118
Rylee Cripe with a score of 118

The overall medalist for Sectionals was Sarah Banister from Carroll with a score of 75. In second was Braedyn O’Dell from Northridge with a score of 76, and in third was Allison Boyle from Carroll with a score of 81. Great job, girls.

At Sectionals, the top three teams advance to Regionals, and the top three individuals not on a team already advancing also get to advance as well. So here are the results we all have been waiting for! The top three teams advancing from our Sectionals are Carroll, Concord, and Northridge. The top three individuals that aren’t on a team advancing are Hannah Godfey from West Noble with a score of 85, Regina Raber from Fairfield with a score of 86, and Abbey Polanco from Columbia City with a score of 90. Congratulations to all the ladies that competed, and good luck on the rest of your season!

Unfortunately, this means that the East Noble girls golf season has come to an end. Thank you, Lady Knights, for playing so hard this season. A lot of improvement and personal bests were made. Thank you, Coach Baker, for all the hard work you did this season!

On September 24, 2016, East Noble will be holding Regionals at Cobblestone in Kendallville, Indiana. Throughout Indiana, there are five schools that are holding Regionals, and East Noble High School is one of those schools, which is pretty cool. Again, congratulations to everyone in Indiana who competed this past Friday and Saturday, and good luck to everyone next Saturday. It will be a long but fun day for you girls. Once again, thanks, East Noble lady golfers, for all your hard work, and good luck on the years to come!
