The girls track team poses after their victory at East Noble’s annual John Reed Relays track invitational.

This past Saturday the East Noble Girls Track team won the John Reed Relays for the third consecutive year, maintaining their undefeated season record.

Many Lady Knights finished first in their respective events, and those are as follows:

Chandler Jones: Women 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 16.38

Chandler Jones: Women High Jump with a jump of 4’ 10’’

Lexie Moriarty: Women Long Jump with a jump of 16’ 4.75’’

Lexy Rhoades, Lexie Moriarty, Chandler Jones, and Ashley Warfield: Women 4X200 Meter Relay with a time of 1:53.69

Lanie Allen, Chandler Jones, Shannon Davies, and Lexie Moriarty: Women 800 Sprint Medley with a time of 1:55.16

Paige DeCamp: Women Shot Put with a throw of 42’ 9’’

Paige DeCamp, after finishing the indoor state competition as 4th in shot put, broke the East Noble shot put record twice this past Saturday. While she was very happy with her performance at John Reed Relays, she continues to work and strive towards a bigger, or rather farther, goal.

After a great win at the John Reed Relays, the Knights are ready to finish their season strong and maintain their undefeated record.

On Tuesday evening the Lady Knights competed against DeKalb, a longtime rival, and defeated them 113-18 in the regular season finale.  The girls finished with a 12-0 regular season record and this Friday both the girls and boys track teams will compete at New Haven High School for the NE8 Conference Championship.

A huge congratulations to our Lady Knights for an excellent track season, and best of luck as you finish the season strong!
