On Thursday, January 22, East Noble’s Gymnastics team took on the rival Homestead High School. A normally strong athletic squad, Homestead brings great competition in most activities, but never before has this intimidated East Noble. The final score of the night was EN 99.25 and Homestead 104.3, proving that East Noble put the Spartans to the test.

There are no juniors or seniors on the team this year leaving it the four sophomores, Kinzie Gura, Lizzy Molen, Alyssa Skyles and Ashley Warfield to lead the team and they did just that. The knights began the meet on vault, where they exhibited great form while doing their flips before they moved on to the bars. After every routine, the girls cheered on their teammates regardless of whether or not the routine was spot on. On beam, there were a few hiccups, but nothing the girls couldn’t recover from, and later the night was ended on floor.

Sophomore Kinzie Gura comments on the great meet, “We cant be intimidated by the other team. We have to go in thinking only about ourselves and how we can make our team better, and I think thats exactly what we did! It was our highest team score yet, and I can’t wait to see whats in store for us!”
