Sophomore Austin Mohamadali returns a serve during his match on Wednesday night.

The East Noble tennis team took on rival Angola at home on Wednesday night, falling to the Hornets 3-2 in a hard-fought match.  Of the 3 singles matches, sophomore Austin Mohamadali at the #1 singles position took the only win, defeating his opponent 6-4, 6-4.  With the win, Mohamadali remains perfect in his matches at the #1 singles position this season.  At the #2 singles spot, senior Evan Hart lost 6-1, 6-0, and at the #3 singles spot, junior Cory Wagner was defeated 6-1, 6-0.

On the doubles end of the match, senior Adam Albertin and junior Kyle Manns took home a victory, taking care of their opponents by a margin of 6-0, 6-2.  Juniors Aaron Beard and Lucas Graden were defeated 6-0, 6-0.

Even though East Noble lost a tough match, they put it all out on the courts and can hold their heads up high, especially knowing that they fought so hard against a tennis powerhouse in Angola.  East Noble will be on the road traveling to Fairfield this Saturday for their next match.  Great job and good luck East Noble tennis!
