Alpine Skiing

Men’s Giant Slalom

Giant Slalom is like slalom but the spaces between the gates are greater.

YEAH! American Ted Ligety (29) took the gold with a total time of 2:45.29! Steve Missillier (29) took Silver with a total time of 2:45.77. Another Frenchman by the name of Alexis Pinturault (22) received Bronze with a total time of 2:45.93.

Women’s Giant Slalom

Slovenian Tina Maze took the Gold with a total time of 2:36.9. Austrian Anna Fenninger (24) took Silver with a total time of 2:36.9. German Viktoria Rebensburg (24) received the Bronze medal with a total time of 2:37.1.

Men’s Super-G

Super-G is all about the speed.

Norwegian Kjetil Jansrud (28) took the Gold with a time of 1:18.14. American Andrew Weibreicht (28) took Silver with a time of 1:18.44. And a Canadian, Jan Hudec (32), and an American, Bode Miller (36), are sharing the Bronze medal with a time of 1:18.67.

Women’s Super-G

Austrian Anna Fenninger (24) received the Gold medal with a time of 1:25.52. German Maria Hefl-Riesch (29) received Silver with a time of 1:26.07. Austrian Nicole Hosp (30) was given the Bronze medal with a time of 1:26.18.

Women’s Slalom

Mikaela Shriffrin representing the United States received the Gold medal with a total time of 1:44.54. Austrian Mariles Schild received the Silver medal with a total time of 1:45.07. Austrian Kathrin Zettel received the Bronze medal with a total time of 1:45.35.

Freestyle Skiing

Men’s Aerials

This even consists of two four meter jumps. The jumps shoot them up to six meters and they performs various tricks and flips while in the air.

Belarusian Anton Kushnir won the Gold medal with a final score of 134.5. Australian David Morriss received the Silver medal with a final score of 110.41. Jia Zongyang received the Bronze medal with a final score of 95.06.

Women’s Aerials

Alla Tsuper representing Belarus won the Gold medal with a final score of 98.01. Chinese Xu Mengtao received the Silver medal with a final score of 83.5. Australian Lydia Lassila received the Bronze medal with a final score of 72.12.

Men’s Ski Cross

All the medals in this event went to France. The Gold went to Jean Frederic Chapuis. Silver went to Arnaud Boloventa. Bronze went to Jonathan Midol.

Women’s Ski Cross

Candian Marielle Thompson won the Gold in the Big Final. The Silver medal went to Candian Kelsey Serwa. Bronze medal went to Swedish Anna Holmlund.

Ski Jumping

Men’s Large Hill

Polish Kamil Stoch received the gold medal with a distance of 132.5 meters, 135.3 Round points and a total score of 278.7. Japanese Noriaki Kasai won the Silver medal with a distance of 133.5 meters, 136.8 Round points and a total score of 277.4. Slovenian Peter Prevc received the Bronze medal with a distance of 131 meters, 136.8 Round points and a total score of 274.8.

Men’s Team

Germany took the Gold with a total score of 1041.1. Austria received Silver with a  total score of 1038.4. Japan received the Bronze medal with a total score of 1024.9.
