The East Noble Homecoming football game this year was, as always, extremely energetic and the epitome of the classic Friday night football game.  A victory over #2 ranked, undefeated New Haven and the storming of the field by the student section made the atmosphere even more exciting.

To cap off a perfect week in East Noble football, they were named Hoosier Authority’s Indiana Team of the Week, and East Noble’s Head Coach Mr. Luke Amstutz was named the Indianapolis Colts Coach of the Week.  The Indianapolis Colts choose a head coach each week from all the coaches in Indiana based on their performance in that week’s game.

On Thursday, a Colts representative, Mike Prior, who played in the National Football League for 12 years, traveled to East Noble and presented Amstutz with this award during school, as well as gave the players and coaches advice on how to stay focused and be prepared for Sectionals based on his experience in the NFL.

In receiving the Indianapolis Colts Coach of the Week award, the East Noble football program will receive a $2,000 check  towards anything the football team needs.  Amstutz will get a certificate signed by the commissioner of the NFL, Roger Goodell, the Colts General Manager, Ryan Grigson, the Colts Head Coach, Chuck Pagano, and Mr. Prior.  In addition to that, Amstutz has been invited to visit an Indianapolis Colts practice on December 13, and will be honored, along with the rest of the coaches who receive the award this year, on December 15 during the Colts game against the Houston Texans.

East Noble Homecoming 2013 ended up being the most successful it has been in recent history. Congratulations Mr. Amstutz and good luck to you and the team for the remainder of the season!
