If you haven’t heard yet, East Noble’s Homecoming Week is right around the corner! Next week, October 7 – October 11, is the annual Homecoming Week, in which East Noble students dress according to specific themes each day and participate in after-school activities sponsored by the school. To assist in helping you show your own school spirit, I have compiled A Guide to Homecoming Week!

Monday, October 7:

‘Murica Monday: ‘Murica Monday provides the opportunity for students and staff to, literally, wear their patriotism on their sleeves. Rock your red, white, and blue, stars and stripes, and Captain America shields for ‘Murica Monday!

Volleyball Tournament: At 6:30 in the evening, the school will be hosting a school-wide volleyball tournament! Each team will consist of 3 girls and 3 boys, and you can sign up in the APC until 3 PM on Monday, October 7!

Tuesday, October 8:

Dress to Impress: Need an excuse to dress up for a day? We’ve got you covered! Dress to Impress Tuesday is the day dedicated to suits, ties, and dresses. Don your favorite dress, ladies, and guys, learn how to tie a tie because everyone is dressing to impress!

Color Run: Dress in your white, stainable running attire at 3:30 PM, and take a jog around school grounds. Lasting only a mile, the run consists of paint, stains, and smiles, as you will be showered in colors until you cross the finish line!

Wednesday, October 9:

Duck Dynasty: Right from your living room, East Noble has brought the famous TV show, Duck Dynasty, into the school! Sport your beards, bandanas, and camouflage for the celebration of your favorite southern family!

Minute to Win It: Continuing the theme of TV shows, the school will be hosting a Minute to Win It contest in the gym at 7 PM! Each class will compete in small activities and competitions in order to be crowned Minute to Win It kings (and queens)!

Thursday, October 10:

Thrift Shop Thursday: In other words, Thrift Shop Thursday is “Dress Like Macklemore Day”! Wear your fur coats and mix-matched clothes on Thursday to show your school spirit, and prove your love for Macklemore!

Parade and Bonfire: The annual Homecoming Parade will boast groups of students serving the school and community, so, if you want to see your friends or find different clubs to join (such as the Knightly Scroll!), check out the Homecoming Parade! It runs from the American Legion, down Main Street, to the YMCA, and ends behind the baseball fields at about 6:30 for a bonfire. At the bonfire, there will be a Cornhole Tourney! You can sign up for the tournament in the APC until Thursday, October 10!

Friday, October 11:

Crazy Blue and Gold Day: Crazy Blue and Gold Day is, by far, the biggest proof of your school spirit! The goal is simple: wear as much blue, gold, and East Noble spirit wear as possible! Whether it is socks, shirts, or even face paint, put it on in the morning, and show your school spirit!

Homecoming Game and Dance: Capping off a great week of activities, East Noble’s football team will take on a tough New Haven team at 7 PM, but the gates will open at approximately 6 PM. Come out and cheer on the Knights until the Homecoming Dance! The dance will cost $4 and last until 11 PM. Wear your blue and gold, bring your outside voices, and always have fun, as our Homecoming Week comes to a close!
