The Tuesday evening dual match with New Haven was not only the last home dual match of the 2013 season for the Knights but also marked tennis’ Senior Night.

The Knights didn’t waste any time getting down to business as they dispatched the Bulldogs, 5-0, in less than one hour. On the varsity side, senior Aaron Dills was victorious at the #3 singles position winning 6-0, 6-3. The #1 doubles duo of seniors Carl Kramer and Jonathan Toles won without dropping a game in a just over 20 minutes. Senior Brennen Biggins and his #2 doubles partner, Adam Albertin, were also victorious as they too won easily, 6-0, 6-2.  On the reserve side senior Jayson Arend led the team off with a decisive 8-0 win at the #1 singles spot. Senior Jeff Shull served well throughout his #3 singles match but fell short losing, 6-2. The last match of the evening saw EN’s Palestinian exchange student, senior Omar Daqah, in action at the #3 doubles position with his partner Ryan Desper.  The duo nearly came back from a 1-5 deficit before falling short, 6-4.

Seniors, I can’t thank you enough for your dedication to the EN Tennis Program during your tennis career. Though the team will rebound and move on in the following years you will never be forgotten nor replaced. You will forever and always hold a special spot in EN Tennis history as a KNIGHT! – Coach Toles
