Rain or shine. Our boys come to play. Last night, the men’s soccer team was in action at South Side. They returned victorious with a shutout to boot. Since I was unable to attend myself, senior Kyle Bloom was kind enough to report the score to me. The score was 2-0. The team had 21 shots throughout the game with 9 of them being on goal. Junior Mason Diffenderfer was able to get on the board with an assist from senior Andy Kretler. Diffenderfer passed the ball to Matt Patton, a senior, making them the lone scorers of the game. On the defensive end, the Spartans were able to get 7 shots off with only 4 actually on goal, leaving senior goalie Kaleb Williams with 4 saves for the night. Thanks to Bloom for being my soccer liaison. I am excited to see the boys on the field this Saturday when they travel to West Noble to take on the Chargers.
