Video Game Review: Supreme Commander

Take control of massive armies and lead them against your foes in this Real Time Strategy Game from Gas Powered Games.
Thanks to Quantum Gate Networks, mankind has been able to populate many worlds under a single banner: The Earth Empire. But, war broke out, and the Earth Empire broke apart into 3 factions. The United Earth Federation (UEF) wants to rebuild the old Earth Empire. The Aeon Illuminate want to cleanse the galaxy with a religion they call The Way. The Cybran Nation just want their freedom from UEF loyalty programs. And so, all 3 factions were thrown into a war that has lasted so long, it became known as The Infinite War.
The overall goal of the game is to take control of Black Sun, a UEF super weapon that has the power to destroy entire planets. Each side wants it for their own use to win the Infinite War.
I really enjoyed playing this game. Its Real-Time Strategy engine is one of the best I’ve ever seen, and its challenging missions kept making me change my strategy. I have played through every mission from all 3 factions, and I must say that you will need a different strategy for each faction. Even if you lose the mission, you can skip it and move on to the next one if you wish. The only really big bad thing that I have found in it is that once you complete a mission, you cannot go back into the mission and replay it unless you save it at the start of it.
I also like the fact that the game has a tutorial on it with short videos on how to play the game. That made it much easier to figure out the controls and to win each level.
This game has a solid A- rating.
