Coastal Knights: Prom 2K16

Saturday, April 23rd, hundreds of East Noble students showed up to the school dressed to the nines to participate in the pre-prom Grand March. The gym was packed with families and friends of the students, all trying to take a picture as their favorite couple walked upon the stage. Once the marching was concluded, the crowning of prom royalty began.

This year’s prom royalty featured not only our prince, princess, king, and queen, but also an honorary king and queen. Craig and Karen Munk, directors of East Noble theatre, were granted the title of Honorary Prom King and Queen after their recent appearance on the Today Show. Both were so grateful for the support demonstrated by the East Noble community. Other prom royalty was Prince Reilly Childers, Princess Jordan Axel, King Lucas Graden, and Queen Maddie Bryan.

After Grand March and what seemed like thousands of pictures later, students made their way to the Kendallville Event Center where the prom would take place. This year’s theme was Coastal (or rather, Costal) Knights. Found at the tables were leis and coconut cups. This, coupled with a Hawaiian themed music score playing throughout dinner set the mood for the night.

Once dinner was over, everyone headed to the dance floor. Students relentlessly danced for over two hours, and the floor wasn’t cleared until the last song ended. All who attended, including our chaperones, had a great time.

Thanks to all that made prom a Coastal Knight to remember!
