Craig Munk, after teaching theatre arts and stagecraft and directing East Noble Theatre for 48 years, was nominated for a Tony Award for theatre education.

Alumni of the East Noble theatre program created and submitted a video (without Mr. Munk knowing) that nominated him for the Excellence in Theatre Education Award presented by the Tony Awards and Carnegie Mellon University.

The video featured shots of the theatre as well as pictures of shows that he has done over the years as director. The video attested not only to Mr. Munk’s talent that he has contributed to East Noble theatre, but the impact he has had on his students and the community.
