This weekend is the children’s theatre production of Disney’s The AristoCats. The show is based off of the beloved movie. Duchess and her kittens are lost, and with the help of Thomas O’Malley they find their way back home to Paris. This cast of 19 has come together to create a wonderful show. This production is full of big sets, drops, and musical numbers to recreate the magic of the Disney movie.

So how does someone prepare for a show like this? Student directors Lydia Tremaine and Daniel Kane are in the second year of student directing the children’s theatre. It’s been all hands on deck to create these sets for the show. Thanks to Mr. Munk’s stage craft classes, a few Mary Poppins sets have been redesigned to fit the Paris setting. The small cast has only had about a month to prepare, but it’s turned out to be a wonderful show fun for all ages. You won’t want to miss this fun musical production of Disney’s The AristoCats.
