Small Town Cheer: Kendallville’s Christmas Parade

This past Saturday, December 5th, was Kendallville’s 47th Annual Christmas Parade. Main Street was filled with holiday cheer and excitement while children grabbed as much candy as possible. The theme for the event was, “Back Home Again – An Indiana Christmas”, and in my eyes, was very fitting. 95.5 The Hawk, Kendallville’s radio station, covered the entire parade from start to finish.

Participating in the parade were the Kendallville Lions club, Heat softball, the East Noble Marching Knights, and individuals such as Miss Limberlost. The parade ended with a special debut from Santa Claus, who was riding atop a fire truck.

Miss Limberlost, Kendallville’s very own Brianna Decamp, became engaged on the spot! Her boyfriend Ryan proposed to her in front of everyone watching. Personally, I thought it was the sweetest thing ever!

If you haven’t ever been to the parade, I highly recommend attending one year! Even though it was a cold, windy day, I still had lots of fun supporting my community.
