The Marching Knights and other band students have launched their most recent fundraiser, and this time they’re selling a junk food that is legendary among high school kids: Rise’n Roll doughnuts. According to Mr. Bryan Muñoz, the Director of Bands here at East Noble High School, the proceeds are going straight into the band students’ accounts to pay for a variety things.

“It’s a terrific fundraiser with incredible doughnuts,” says Muñoz.

Rise’n Roll doughnuts can be purchased from any East Noble band student until the fundraiser ends this Friday. A dozen doughnuts can be ordered for $10.00. Students who sell the doughnuts actually end up getting some of the profit, which goes straight into their band accounts. Mr. Muñoz has mentioned that several students are utilizing the fundraiser to help pay for a trip that the band will be taking to Florida over fall break later this year. Thanks to their hard work, the fundraiser has seen some great success.

“Last month we sold over 380 doughnuts!” Muñoz adds.

There’s still time to order doughnuts, so students are highly encouraged to get involved in this fundraiser and to seek their friends in band to find out more. Fundraisers like this at East Noble are the only opportunities where kids can help their fellow classmates by simply eating delicious foods.

Jace Wade, a sophomore who plays the baritone in Marching Band and trombone in Jazz Band, summed up the Rise’n Roll fundraiser as a cool way to “help the band kids pay for their band fees and their future band fees.”
