Color Run!

Color Run!

On Tuesday, October 8, 2013, East Noble Student Council hosted a color run, as part of homecoming week. It was free to participate, and each participant earned points for their grade. Although this activity was to show school spirit, it was a race to earn extra class points.

The majority of the students wore white so that the blue and gold paint would be visible.  The race began by the bus doors, continued counter clockwise around the entire school building, and back to the start line, passing the line of band members. The runners were in the front of the pack and the joggers and walkers were toward the back.  As we ran, student council members sprayed the runners with blue and gold paint. There were some participants that were more willing to get sprayed than others.

Jordan McCarty, a senior participant, said about the run, “It was a lot of fun and I was really surprised to see so many people have school spirit.”  Taylor Lehman, another senior participant, said, “I think that it was a great way to integrate exercise into a fun homecoming activity. I was excited for it to start and disappointed when it ended, because I really enjoyed myself.”

Overall this was a successful homecoming activity. Don’t forget to be on the lookout for the upcoming homecoming activities. Remember to bring your school spirit!
