We went and popped some tags, and we’ve got homecoming in our pockets! Thursday was definitely a successful Macklemore Thrift shop day! Walking through the hallways, there were some subtle, yet vintage, looks all the way to all-out crazy fur coats! Thrifting is a great hobby for some, but for others, it just gives an excuse to wear whatever one wants to without anyone being judgmental, and just enjoy themselves.

Throughout the day of school, eyes were everywhere trying to see what crazy and silly ideas everyone else at EN decided to show off. Senior Vickie Nguyen enjoyed personifying the newly-popular Macklemore. “I thought it was a fun thing to do,” she said, “because In order to participate I needed thrift shop clothes… which necessitated going to an actual thrift shop. It was the first time I had ever been to one. The variety of clothes was amazing, but they were still so cheap!” She continued with, “I thought it was a good idea because it exposed kids to other eras. This was one of the more fun days because everyone had their own style instead of everyone wearing the same thing like Duck Dynasty.”

Let’s keep the raging, Knightly spirit going by painting the hallways blue and gold! Homecoming, here we go!
