EN+Staff+Stars%3A+Mrs.+Hillary+Gump

Even though we weren’t here last week, the Scroll has still managed to keep up on our Staff Stars. This week, we swing into the English Department to talk with Mrs. Gump.

How many years have you been teaching at East Noble?

  • This is my sixteenth year at East Noble.

What subjects do you teach?

  • I currently teach English 9 Honors, but first trimester I also taught English 10 Honors. In previous years, I taught the journalism classes.

What is your favorite class to teach?

  • I honestly don’t have a favorite. I love different aspects of all of my classes.

What’s your favorite part of teaching?

  • My favorite part of teaching is definitely the students. I love that every day is different. Every class period is different.

Do you have a favorite EN Memory? If so, what is it?

  • I’m not sure that I have a favorite memory. Some of my most memorable moments are probably from taking students to yearbook camp. That was always fun, and we learned a lot!

Do you have any interests/hobbies outside of school?

  • I love to spend lots of time with my family. I love to cook and bake. I like to sew. I also enjoy photography.

Do you have a fun fact about yourself?

  • Fun fact? I have had my tonsils out three times? I’m not sure that counts as fun, but it’s definitely interesting.

Congratulations to Mrs. Gump, it is clear that EN adores your helpful spirit! We love you Mrs. Gump!!!
