FCCLA at Ball State University

FCCLA went on a trip to Ball State University Tuesday, November 2nd. Once there they got to walk all over campus and see all of the buildings and well-known sights. They went through quite a few buildings and got to see a typical dorm. The tour guides informed the fourteen students that went on the trip of all the benefits of going to Ball State such as their meal plan and free access to the weight room and sports events. They learned a little bit of history and some myths or legends about the university. They ended the tour at the Family Consumer Sciences (FCS) building where the head of the FCS department talked to FCCLA about the job opportunities for FCS teachers in America and about their FCS program that allows students to get a job right out of college. In the end there was a fun little quiz with the chance to win prizes. After they were dismissed they went to get some delicious college food before going to the bookstore to get some souvenirs. All in all, it was a wonderful learning experience for all of the students.
