The Water Project: Four Months Later

Earlier this year—in April actually—an article went up on this website about the wonderful Water
Project, a project that’s been going on to raise money for people in Africa who don’t have clean drinking
water. At the time it was written, East Noble had raised a grand total of $863.58 out of the $2,500 goal. I am
both proud and slightly ashamed to announce that in the four months and eleven days since then, we have raised the total to $988.58. This may seem like an accomplishment. I don’t want to downplay how great it is that we’ve raised that amount, but I also want to bring up that we have only succeeded in raising $125 on four months and eleven days!

I know that there isn’t a lot high school students can donate, but I want to stress that the $2,500
goal is not that far away if we all pitch in a little. I’m sorry if this address sounds a little angry, but this is
something I passionately believe needs to be done. We need to raise the money. So I urge you, if you
have anything you can possibly donate, please donate it. If we do this together, those who need clean
water can have clean water.
