Fort Wayne Design an Ad Contest

Sunday April 12th was the ceremony for the Fort Wayne Design an Ad contest that is held annually by Windows, Doors and More. The company has been holding this contest for several years now, which allows grades 4th through 12th to participate in. This year had been the contest’s largest yet with over fifty companies taking part in claiming an advertisement.

The grades were separated into three groups for grading; 4th through 6th, 7th through 9th, and 10th through 12th. From there, three ads for each company were picked, one for each age group. Those selected were the finalist and had been invited to the ceremony that Sunday. Now there were two categories to place in, individual and overall. The individual category was set for each ad, all three finalists for that particular ad were shown and then the first place of the three was revealed. Now after all of the individual winners were shown those who placed overall in the age groups were announced. The prizes for this ranged from iPod Minis to iPod Touches to Kindle Fire HDs. On top of that the first place winner’s school received a $150 Visa gift card. Overall the Design an Ad contest was a fun little thing; everyone who was a finalist or placed individually had their ad printed in the Fort Wayne newspaper.

The goal of the Design an Ad contest is to inspire artists and to keep them inspired, so next year let’s see some East Noble students up on the screen.
