Candy-themed and full of excitement, East Noble’s Prom of 2014 was all the juniors and seniors hoped it would be. As usual, the night was full of dancing, the dresses were extravagant, and the men cleaned up nicely. At Grand March before the dinner and dancing started, the couples and groups of friends got their chance to show off theirĀ attire while parents, friends, and family watched in the bleachers at the Main Gym of the high school. The dressed ranged from light pink, to red, to aqua, and the men matched each of them well, with bright red jackets and sparkly ties. After everyone joined arms and walked together in true East Noble fashion, the students turned around for a word from the senior Class President Vickie Nguyen, who advised having a great, but safe, time “shaking your bon bons,”–the tagline for the night. The gym was soon all ears in anticipation for the announcement of prom prince, princess, king, and queen. After some short introductions, juniors Colten Williams and Dezaray Barr were announced as prince and princess, and seniors Aaron Dills and Maddie Cook were announced as king and queen.

Barr comments on her nomination, “Being crowned prom princess was an honor and a huge surprise! I loved it!”

The gym soon dispersed after their crowning, and there were pictures being taken by everyone in the mess of people on the gym floor, getting in their last pictures before the best part of the night started. Prom took place at the Kendallville Banquet Hall, and their was a dinner beforehand. The high school’s yearbook was there that evening, taking less formal pictures of anyone who wanted them. Such pictures should soon be posted on the school’s website so that they can be downloaded by students for free.

Just like the many proms to come before, the night proved to be just the break these upperclassmen needed in order to take on the rest of the school year with confidence!
