The Ultimate Showdown That Is To Come

On Thursday, October 24th, students will have the opportunity to participate in an epic tournament to see who the Ultimate Champion is truly. The National Honor Society will be sponsoring this Ultimate Frisbee Tournament to double as a food drive for the Friendship Food Pantry in Kendallville. The Tournament will start at 6:30PM on the East Noble football field, and will continue until only one team remains.

For students wishing to create a team, here are the things they need:

–          7 players (Including 1 Captain)

–          A team color

–          An appropriate team name

–          7 completed permission slips (slips available in Miss Salway’s office)

–          7 Donation Items (Possible Items Include)

  • A jar of peanut butter
  • A box of pasta
  • A can of canned meat
  • A can of corn
  • A roll of toilet paper
  • $2.00

To register a team, email Sydney Rodenbeck, Abby Stephens, or Jonathon Kane.

After a team is registered, there slips are turned in, and their donation items are turned in, the team moves on to The People’s Choice Contest. Each team will be able to make one poster representing them. These posters will be hung in the main hallway with a donation bin underneath each poster. People can then vote for their favorite team by donating to that team’s bin. Whichever team has the most items at the end of the voting wins a bye in the tournament. That team will move on to the second round right away.

If anyone wishes just to watch the tournament, they may come to the field with one donation item to spectate.

Registration is going on now, so get your team registered soon. See you on the field.
