2nd Place!!
The East Noble Spell Bowl competed at their first competition last night! They came in second with 50 points! Freshman, Kaelyn Bender received a near perfect score by spelling 8 of 9 words correctly. Good job Kaelyn! Freshman Meghann McCoy got a 2, and Gavin Ferguson got a 5. Sophomore Philip Phan got a 3; Brian Tew got a 3, and Alyssa Yoquelet got a 5. Junior Emily Savage got a 7, and Rachel Smolinske got a 5. And seniors Josh Tew got a 7 and Myra Finton got a 5.
It was a great night Monday night with 16 different teams including East Noble participating. It was a great time and the team got 2nd. Penn came in first with an 86 out of a total of 90 words given. Third place went to Bishop Dwenger who had 33 points. Fourth place went to Garrett with a total of 31 points; fifth to Carroll with 27; sixth with Northwood at 26; seventh to Snider with 24; eighth to North Side with 20; ninth to Prairie Heights with 17; and tenth to Columbia City with 13 points total. The remaining six teams were a second team of a few of the above listed schools. Their scores do not count towards the total.
