Well, I didn’t win the Powerball Jackpot on Saturday (I would have been genuinely surprised if I had, since I didn’t buy a ticket…) but I was a part of the “Lottery Fever” that seemed to envelop the nation.  I was hanging out in a grocery store getting a propane tank refill and was behind a woman who purchased 150 tickets.  Yes, 150.  I casually mentioned that she must be buying for a group, to which she laughed.  “Nope; all for me.  I really have a feeling about this…”  I understand that the thought of a $600 million payout for just $300 was appealing, but personally, the payout of some good steaks for my $17.99 refill was more than enough to put a smile on my face…
