Hints for Incoming Freshman

I never really knew how I felt about starting high school. While I was excited to see my old friends and learn new things, I was nervous about finding my way around. I knew it would be difficult, but when participating in extra-curricular activities helps to make new friends in all grade levels. Knowing what I know now, high school isn’t that scary.  So, for those incoming freshman out there, I’m here to help you make it through your first year of high school.

Here are some things to help throughout your year. Remember, you aren’t alone. Don’t be afraid to make new friends.

Join a club or sport that you are interested in. There is a list of clubs offered at ENHS.

Along with clubs, sports are another good way to interact.  There is a list of sports offered at ENHS. Just a reminder if interested you must meet the extracurricular eligibility standards to qualify to play.

  • Your teachers are here to help you, so don’t be afraid to ask for help.
  • Upperclassmen aren’t as bad as they are known to be.
  • Popularity means nothing, especially if you go to a small school like East Noble.
  • Doing the homework will only benefit you. Little things will get you in trouble, so don’t do anything you know is wrong.
  • Have fun and don’t take in a lot of stress. High school should be fun. Hope you enjoy your first year here with the Knights.
