On the Road, FOREVER

EN’s Bocce Ball team left East Noble High School at 7:30 in the morning and it took two and a half hours to get to Carmel, IN. After the eventful day the team headed home and made it about a half hour away from home.

The bus lost power and had to pull off to the side of the interstate where the bus continued to roll slowly until it came to a complete stop. The adults stayed calm but the students were are anxious about what was happening and how they were going to get home.

The city’s police and fire department was nearby and came to push the bus away from the dangerous spot they were sitting at. Once if a safer resting place the officers got the students off the bus and put five in the fire truck and five in the police car. They were taken to a nearby McDonald’s where a minibus came and picked them up and drove them about an hour away from Kendallville where the team had to switch onto another bus that was an East Noble bus came and took them the rest of the way home.

They left Carmel at 3:30 and got home at 9 at night. The one thing that brightened everyone’s night was Claire Brown, East Noble Alumni, and her family greeted the bus with balloons and smiles for everyone.
